Why use GastroCare?
Horses are natural grazers and would if allowed, spend up to 22 hours per day grazing. As such they continually produce gastric acid. The constant grazing should produce enough saliva to balance this acid.

When horses are in training, working or travelling and their feeding regime is reduced to two or three feeds per day they do not produce enough saliva and thus their stomachs have an unnatural build up of acid. That is why 60%of sport or show horses and over 90%of race horses have gastric problems.

How GastroCare Works
Antacids in GastroCare mimic and replace the effects of saliva and protect the stomach lining from the acid. Each dose provides approximately six hours of protection.

The soluble fibres absorb some of the excess acid produced and glutamine aids the regeneration of the stomach lining. All in all GastroCare both heals the stomach and protects it from further damage.
