British Eventing 2017 Arena Eventing Championships - blog by Olivia Mossman
Earlier in the month Pebbles and I qualified at Dallas Burston and on 11th March I competed in my first National Arena Eventing Final Championships at Aston-Le–Walls. Pebbles and I came 10th after jumping a double clear, in the 80cm.
Pebbles has always been quite pacy so I was very aware of keeping her steady, a bit too much this time. A great day out and thanks to BE for organising this pre-season series. We were delighted with our 10th position in our first National Competition.
At home we have at long last finished our Arena, and it is looking fabulous. I have been out a few evenings after school practicing with the jumps we already had and a few home made rustic jumps. Pebbles and Max are getting lots of exercise for the up and coming Season of Eventing, which we are really looking forward to, I have already signed up for quite a few Events, including doing a pairs Hunter Trial with my Friend Megan, at Elmwood Equestrian at the end of the Month.
